LEGGED FIRE ROBOT (GURINDAM 16)
Overview
The GURINDAM 16 robot is designed to build an automatic robot that can detect the presence of a fire in a burning candle in the competition arena, which is placed randomly and can extinguish it in the shortest possible time. The GURINDAM 16 Robot is also designed to avoid all obstacles in the field, such as furniture, Uneven Floors and Puppy/Cat Dolls.
The GURINDAM 16 robot is equipped with several sensors. The robot can start walking by a sound sensor is used which is detected by the tone detector system. When walking, the robot needs a proximity sensor to keep the robot from touching or bumping into walls left, right, front and back, avoiding furniture. 8 Ping sensors (Ultrasonic Sensors) detect whether or not there is a fire in the room after the robot enters the room; a fire sensor is used, and the sensor used is UVTron. Two sensors are used to detect the point of fire: the flame sensor and the TPA 81 sensor. After the fire is detected, the GURINDAM 16 robot uses water as its fire extinguishing medium equipped with a DC pump to extinguish the fire.
Design Concepts
The materials for the robot body are made of 5 mm, 3 mm acrylic, and aluminum plates; the legs are made of acrylic and titanium, while the nuts and bolts are made of steel.
